Roof Cleaning for Simon's Town homes & businesses
Moss, lichen and dust build up faster than most Simon's Town homeowners expect, especially on the shaded side of the roof and under trees. A professional clean lets the roof dry out properly and shows up any damage early.
Simon's Town's historic buildings and coastal homes need careful, salt-resistant painting. Coastal damp, salt and the winter north-wester mean sealing, waterproofing and anti-fungal paints are a must.
Our roof cleaning service
Moss, lichen and dirt hold moisture against your roof, which speeds up rust on metal roofs and wears down the surface of tiles. Our roof cleaning uses commercial high-pressure equipment set to the right pressure for your roof type, followed by a biocide treatment that slows regrowth. We clear gutters and downpipes, check for cracked tiles and loose sheeting, and send you photos of anything we find. Many clients book a clean on its own; others book it as the first step before a roof repaint.

Roof Cleaning FAQs
Will pressure cleaning damage my tiles?
Not when it's done right. We adjust pressure and nozzle for the roof type and never blast directly under tile overlaps.
How often should a roof be cleaned?
Every 2 to 3 years for most homes, or yearly for homes under trees or in wet areas like Newlands and Constantia.
Do you clean gutters as well?
Yes. Gutter and downpipe clearing is included with every roof clean.
